BOOKMAKER FINED.
Stratford, Yesterday. In the Stratford Magistrate’s Court, Ernest Alexander Johnson pleaded guilty to a charge of bookmaking, and was fined £75. The police described him as one of tho largest bookmakers in Taranaki. Three men found in a back room when Jolnjson’s tobacconist shop was raided, were fined £2 10s Od.
