ALL SAINTS’ CHILDREN’S BALL.
♦ SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. All Saints’ Children’s ball held in the Town Hall on Thursday evening was a most successful function financially and socially. The children attended in large numbers and fancy dress was the order of the evening. The hall was tastefully decorated by the local Fire Brigade, and the music was provided by Mrs. Ross and Misses K. Roore and Delaney. Mr. M. E. Perreau acted as M.C. A special feature of the evening was dancing by Mrs. Goodman’s pupils. The Minuet was danced by Mary Martin, Daphne Stevenson, T. Symons, Olga Saville, Douglas Stevenson, P. Martin, Kathleen Bergin; the Doll Dane*) by A. Barron and 0. Saville; and the Irish Jig by M. Martin, B. Hunt, 11. Owen, and A. Roore. The children occupied the floor until 10 o’clock, when supper was indulged in, after which the hall was given over to the adults, the music being supplied by Mr. J. Newton. The ladies’ guild desire to thank all who assisted in any way to make the ball such a decided success.
