STORY OF THE WAR.
SEARCH FOR MISSING SON. Hamilton, May 18. A Now Zealander returning from the war wounded was taken into hospital at Adelaide about nine years ago. Since then his relatives have been unable to learn anything of his fate. The soldier was Pcrcival West. His father, Andrew West, of Morrinsville, left tor Australia for the second time last Wednesday in the hope of tracing his son. When the war broke out Percival W.'est was in Australia, and joined one of the first Australian regiments. He was three times wounded, bnt continued on active service throughout the war. When peace was declared \Vost was suffering from the effects of a wound, and was put on hoard ship and sent back into hospital at Adelaide. From there he last wrote to his people. Mr. West senior went to Australia, intending to bring his son hack, but couh] find no trace of the young man. The father has now provided himself with papers from the Defence Department, and is going to Australia to renew his search.
