FOOTBALLER SUSPENDED FOR A YEAR.
- Christchurch, May 15. For striking a player in the match against ’Varsity on Saturday, J. Jeffries, the Merivale and Canterbury represtntative forward, was suspended for one year by the Canterbury Rugby Union. Jeffries had previously been before the union on similar charges.
