Beauty as well as comedy adorns the railway story, “Tell it to Sweeney,” which will be at the Town Hall Cabaret on Wednesday. Chester Conklin and George Bancroft make their debut as a Paramount comedy team in this highly enlivening vehicle. Doris Hill has the leading feminine role, while the handsome Jack Laden, who is one of Paramount’s new western stars, is the clever juvenile. Doris and Jack carry the romantic theme, while Conklin and Bancroft supply the comedy, of which there is- no end. Also “Hot Papa” (comedy), magazine, etc. Cabaret prices. P. G. Wodehouse’s amusing comedy story “The Small Bachelor” will be screened on Friday at usual prices. ROYAL. On Wednesday “White Pants Willie,” Johnny Hines’ latest feature will screen at the Royal. “White Pants Willie” is said to abound in humorous sequences, one of the most hilarious being a fast polo match played by crack players with the comedian, -being mistaken for a polo champion, thrust into the game and forced to win or lose the girl. Naturally the comedian’s white pants play an important- role and supply moments of genuine humor, starting the picture off with a gale of laughter that doesn’t cease until the final fade-out, Wlit-h “Only a Husband” (comedy), and English News.
