In 1905 the Railways carried approximately 8,500,000 passengers. Of that number only 19 Avere injured, 10 of them fatally. In 1915 the total number handled had increased to 23,500,000 6f Avhom 13 were injured, three fatally. The latest figures for 1927 slioaved an even better average, for of 26,000,000 passengers carried only three Avere injured and none fatally. __
