ALL SAINTS’ BEACH HOME

The Home’s birthday at the local seaside was celebrated on Saturday (14th inst.) The weather fas perfect, and many visitors from Foxton, Palmerston and surrounding districts came along with presents and greetings for the success of the Home. The Mayor of Foxton (Mr. M. E. Perreau), was present and the chaplin of the Home (the Rev. W. H. Walton), acted as chairman. The ladies of the committee and otlieq ladies supplied afternoon tea, and the visitors inspected the various departments, chatted to the children, and so spent a pleasant afternoon. The matron thanks everybody very much for their generous gifts, good wishes s and great interest taken in the work of the Home; the gifts were so varied and numerous, that it was impossible to get every donor’s name.
