SUICIDE BY DROWNING IS CORONER’S VERDICT.

Christchurch, Last Night.

Suicide by drowning was the verdict returned by Coroner Mosley, S.M., at the inquest yesterday on Hannah Packer, a single woman, aged 60, whose body was found on Friday on the New Brighton beach. * Evidence was given that Miss Packer had been very depressed since undergoing an operation for goitre four weeks ago. She left her home between Thursday night and Friday morning leaving a note to her sister with whom she lived.
