THE NEW POLITICAL PARTY.
FIRST CANDIDATE ANNOUNCED Cambridge, April 4.’ At a largely attended meeting last evening, Fred Lye, farmer, of Pukekura, near Cambridge, was announced as a candidate for the Waikato seat at the next general election in the Liberal interests, backed by the United Political organisation. Mr Lye, who is first in the field for United organisation, was member for Waikato prior to last general election. It was unanimously decided to form a branch of the United political organisation in Cambridge.
