THE ALL BLACKS. TO PLAY EXHIBITION MATCH. The All Blacks will play an exhibition match ht Wellington next Wednesday, in aid of the Olympic Games Fund. The teams will be captained by Brownlie and Nicholls. The manager, Mr W. Hornig, stated that if the team had the luck to escape injuries during the tour, he, was confident they would return with the laurels. “I consider the New Zealand team is 50 per cent, 'better than it was in 1921, and the Springboks will have to be 75 per cent, better to beat us.”

On Saturday afternoon Oroua Downs played a match with a local fifteen on the racecourse. The game resulted in a win for Oroua Downs by 24 points to 3. The local team was subsequently entertained to dinner by the visitors. Pine secured Foxton’s only try. Taylor failed with the kick. OROUA DOWNS CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Oroua Downs Football Club, the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —'President: Ml’ W. j-jcott; vice-presidents: Messrs Hi Sexton, R. Gates, G. A. The secretary of the Foxton club received a letter from the Kia Toa Club last night, suggesting that /the Foxton Club play Kia Toa Juniors at Palmerston N. next Saturday. A communication was also received from Oroua Downs last evening suggesting a friendly match between Foxton and Oroua Downs, at Oroua Downs on Saturday, 21st April. Both the above matters will be discussed at the practice shed tonight,.

The secretary of the Foxton club has been endeavouring to arrange a match for the Juniors at Easter. Athletic (Wellington) are unable to meet the local Club.

All those interested in Senior football are requested to attend a meeting in the practice shed tonight at 7.30 o’clock.
