FOXTON RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB.
A special general meeting of the Foxton Rugby Football Club was held in the -practice shed last evening to complete the business held over* from the annual meeting until the conference between the Club and the Council. . Mr H. Hutchins occupied the chair. j A motion of sympathy was passed to Mr W. Harrison in his bereavement-.
The Club decided to again affiliate with the Horowlienua Union this season and to nominate Senior, Junior and Thjrd grade teams.
Mr J. K. Hornblow was elected vice-president to the Union and Mr 11. Hutchins delegate. Mr C. Procter was elected a. delegate to the annual meeting of the Union to be held in Levin this evening and Mr B: Walls was elected to replace Mr G. Alexander, who is unable to attend.
It was decided that the delegate to Union only attend meetings at tjie direction of the Committee.
It was decided that any player stood on the line during the season appear before the local committee prior to appearing before the Council and that the case he fully investigated and the delegate instructed accordingly.
Mr. R. Rangiheuea was elected managing coach and Mr. T. Tuna coach for the' Thirds.
An endeavour is being made to arrange practice matches with Kin Toa locally next Saturday. Players are reminded that their subs, are now due and playable to the secretary. Any not wishing to take an active part in the Club can materially assist by purchasing honorary members tickets.
The annual meeting of the Shannon Football Club was held last Wednesday. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £lO 16s 6d. Moynihan; selectors, seniors: Mr. Johansen and captain; juniors: Messrs M. Coyle and F. Wilson; auditor, Mr. B. T. Brann; secretary: Mr. G. Mitchell; treasurer: Mr. W'. Moynihan; delevates to Union: Messrs A. H. Richards and G. Mitchell.
