LOYALTY TO MR. COATES. Dunedin, Yesterday. In reply to a prediction that the General Election is likely to take place in August on account of the strained relations in\ the Reform Party on the licensing issue, the Prime Minister (the Right Hon. J. G. Coates) said: — I have sufficient confidence in the loyalty and integrity of those whom I lead to know that should there be the slightest foundation of fact in a political kite flown by a correspondent of the “Cristchurch Star,” I, as leader of the party, would have been the first to be informed.
