METHODIST CHURCH.
HARVEST FESTIVAL SERVICES
Thanks to the many willing helpers amongst the church members, the church was very prettily and effectively decorated for the harvest festival on Sunday. Although many of the gardens were kept back this summer, yet a very good showing of vegetables, fruit and liowers were on display. Mrs. Peryman conducted the morning service, which was -well attended. A good attendance also assembled in the evening when the preacher was Mr. J. M. Blight.' The preacher dealt with the parable of the sower, and continued by reminding the people that Christ has commissioned all Christian people to continue His work. He then pointed out several ways in which Christians could work for the Kingdom of God, ways in which the seed of life can be sown in the hearts of men today. (During the evening service a very appreciative quartette was well rendered by Mesdames Bullard and Osborne, and Messrs Bullard and Osborne.'
