BOWLING.

At Levin on Saturday a rink skipped by Barr, representing Foxton ■Club, competed with a Shannon risk skipped by Gagliardi, in the final elimination match to decide the champion rink to represent this area in the Champion of Champions contest at Palmerston North on the 24th inst. Foxton got well away at the commencement of play, and up till the afternoon tea adjournment looked every bit like winning, but later they fell away, and Shannon ultimately finished winners by a margin of two points. Shannon Club will thus have the honour of representing this district in the champion finals. To-morrow, at Shannon, the final round of 1 the Triangular Shield contest will be held at Shannon, when Foxton Club will be represented by two rinks. The following will represent FoxtonParkin, Seadden, Heyes, -Bryant (s); Walton, Easton, Woods, Matter (s).
