TOWN HALL. When flapper daughter becomes presumptuous, “high hat” or “ritzy,” don’t spank the darling child —just kid her along. That’s what Ritzy Brown’s father does in Betty Bronson’s new Paramount picture, “Ritzy,” which arrives at the Town Hall Cabaret on Wednesday. Ritzy refuses to marry a clean-cut man, and insists on a titled husband; so Papa and a certain young gentleman put their heads together and —well, Elinor Glyn has provided a number of novel, amusing twists. “Ritzy” is an original screen story by Madame Glyn. Also “Hitehin Up” (comedy), News and Magazine. Cabaret prices. Marion Davies will be seen on Friday in an amusing story of college life “The'Fair Co-ed.” Usual prices.
ROYAL. POWERFUL DRAMA OF FATHER LOVE. “The Prince of Head Waiters,” a powerful comedy-drama of fatherlove and made by the director of “Flaming Youth,” which starred Colleen Moore, is the feature photoplay at the Royal theatre on Wednesday. Mr. Stone has the'part of “the prince of head waiters,” and most of the scenes are laid in the Ritz Hotel in New York. The story involves the love of a father for his son, the love of a stern father, for his daughter, and finally the unselfish love of a childhood sweetheart for the youth. Lilyan Tashman has an outstanding part as the adventuress and gold-digger.- With “Sure Cure” (comedy), and English News. Prices 1/- everywhere. Children 6d.
