Wellington, Last Night. The choice of S. R. Carleton, the Canterbury representative back, for the vacancy'in the Ncav Zealand Rugby team for South Africa, caused by the inability of A. E .Cooke to make the trip, Avas confirmed at a meeting of the NeAV Zealand Rugby Union’s Management Committee last evening. • Various details -in connection with the team’s departure from Wellington were discussed by the committee. Prior to sailing, the team is to play an exhibition match in Wellington in aid of the Olympic Games fund.
