MILITARY CAMP.
On Saturday the men of the 7th Battery, N.Z.A. (Palmerston North) 105 all told, replaced the men of the 6th Battery (Napier) at the camp on the localracecousre.
The O.C. is Lieutenant L. Lovelock and Lieutenant Hall, of the sth Battery (Wellington) is assistant O.C.
Genera,l leave was granted on Saturday night and a number of the men competed in the local swimming carnival.
Rain all day yesterday made conditions somewhat unpleasant at camp but there is a promise of good weather for the rest of the time the men will be under canvas.
An endeavour wll be made, as in the past, to arrange a small swimming carnival towards the end of this week between the local and 'camp swimmers. On Saturday the Bth Battery, ;N.Z.A. (Palmerston N.) will arrive in camp.
