Palmerston N., February 20

“I suppose I got a bit excited and used words for which a man would be sorry afterwards,” said J. O’Reilly, who was stated to have neither fixed abode or occupation in the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court this morning, when pleading ,guilty to a charge of using indecent language in a public place. Senior-Sergeant O’Grady stated that the acdused was a decided nuisance in the town, and had been convicted three times before on similar charges. The Magistrate inflicted a sentence of one month’s imprisinment.
