A NIGHT ESCAPE.
BORSTAL INMATES DASH FOR LIBERTY. Te Awamutu, February 10. An inmate of the Borstal; Institute at Waikeria, named Darrel Barnaby, escaped during Wednesday night from the camp on the Korakonui road, taking with him a dark bay pony mare, a bridle, and a length of rope. Barnaby is described as aged 24, height sft. Tin., of slight build: and fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, a sear on the right side of the chin. He was wearing blue denim trousers and a black cloth regulation coat and probably cap and heavy nailed boots. Barnaby has a knowledge) of mo-tor-cars, as on his previous* escape from a southern institution (be stole a car. i. The stall from Waikeria .and the police are conducting a seaich. They have found no trace; /SO far, but believe that he has Tnaße into the King Country.
