MAXIMUM FINES IMPOSED

Hastings, Last Night. John Alexander Ross, licensee of the Grand Hotel, was charged at the Magistrate’s Court with opening his premises for the sale of liquor to George Rossiter after hours. • Arising out of the same (.barge Gladys Ross was charged with being a person other than a licensee selling liquor to George Rossiter after hours. George Rossiter, Matthew Andrews, and John Thomas were charged with being on the premises of the Grand Hotel after hours.

'Ross was fined the maximum £2O, and Miss Ross £lO. Rossiter, who pleaded guilty, was fined £2 and Thomas and Andrews £1 each.
