SCHOOL PICNIC.

A SUCCESSFUL OUTING

The annual railway excursion and school picnic on the Ashhurst Domain was held in perfect weather yesterday and a large number of children and parents availed themselves of the opportunity of spending a day in the shady bush of the reserve.

The teaching staff, committee and helpers combined to give the youngsters a real good time and all thoroughly enjoyed the outing. The catering was on a liberal scale and was supervised by Mrs Walls. There was no incident to mar the day’s outing and the children returned tired blit happy in the evening. Sports were arranged and held on the green.
