PERSONAL.
The death occurred at Palmerston recently of Mrs. Moore, mother of Mr. R. Moore, solicitor, of Foxton. , Mr. E. G. Simons, stationmaster, of Fordell, has been appointed stationmaster at Foxton, to replace Mr. H. Hornblow, who has been transferred to Nelson. Mr. W. N. Anderson, late engineer to the Horowhenua County Council, Was recently entertained by the outdoor staff of the Council and presented with a suitably- engraved gold watch and Mrs. Anderson was made the recipient of an afternoon tea service.
