FOXTON SWIMMING CLUB.

/ COMMITTEE MEETING

A committee meeting of the Foxton Swimming Club was held in Walls’ Rooms last evening,.presided over by Mr. H. Hutchins . (President). Als'o present were Messrs T. Fuller, D. Christie, A. Walls, R. Hornblow and the secretary (Mr. D. R. Barron). The secretary reported that the Club had been granted the 25th February for a swimming carnival.

The was isstrueted to procure a quotation for seating accommodation at the baths.

It was also decided to approach the Borough Council requesting assistance in connection with seating and lighting of the baths. It. was decided to hold the carnival on the date mentioned and the following programme was approved of: —

Beginners, across the baths, boys only 7 do., girls; boys’ 25 yards; girls’ do.; ladies’ 50 yards championship; breast stroke, 50 yards, novelty events; open dive; corfu dive; novelty race; men’s 50 yards handicap; men’s 100 yards handicap; relay race, 200 yards Accounts amounting to £2 5s Od were passed for payment.
