THEFT OF CLOTHING.

Hamilton, Yesterday

Ladies’ apparel, and babies’ and men’s clothing were among the contents of seven suitcases, which disappeared from C. S. Washer’s garage at Tauranga on Friday night. The missing goods are valued at £95 13s 9d, and are the property of Jacksons, Ltd. As an outcome, two men, Ira George Land, aged 29, a brush manufacturer, of Hamilton, and Bernard Francis Murray, aged 21 were charged before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., to-day, with breaking and entering and theft. Bail was opposed by Detective Culloty, but the Magistrate, in granting a remand, allowed it at £IOOO. Each of the accused are to And £SOO personal recognisance, with two sureties of £250 each.
