WEDDING.

ROLLET—SPRING,

A pretty wedding took place at the Methodist Church, Foxton, on December 28th, 1927, when Keitha Florence, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Spring, of Moutoa, was united to Nelson Kenneth, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Rollet, of McDonald Crescent, Wellington. The officiating clergyman was Rev. S. Pery« man. Mrs. Peryman presided at the organ, and played the “Wedding March.” As the bride entered the Church, the hymn “The Voice That Breathed O’er Eden,” was sung. The bride who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white crepe-de-chine Avith the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a sheaf of white flowers. Miss GAvenda Huse, of Wanganui, cousin of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and Avas attired in a shell pink crepe-de-chine frock Avith black hait, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Two little floAver girls were in attendance, Lexie Spring, niece of the bride, Avho Avore a frilled 1 frock Of blue crepe-de-chine, and Bonnie Evans, attired in an apriedt frilled crepe-de-chine frock. Both little girls Avore floAver bands to match their dresses and carried baskets of pink carnations. Mr. Bert Cummerfield carped out the duties of best man. After the ceremony a reception Avas held in the ToAvn Hall sup-per-room, Avhere the usual toasts Avere honoured and felicitous speeches made. The bouquet, posies and baskets of floAvers Avere made and presented by Mrs-. Galland, of NeAvbury, and late of Moutoa. The bride’s mother Avas attired in a floAver frock Avith black coat and' black bait, and carried a posy of purple floAvers. The bridegroom’s mother Avore a. navy coat frock Avith oriental trimmings with hat to match and carried a posy of dark red carnations. The bridegroom’s present to the bride Avas a gold wristlet Avatch and to the bridesmaid 1 and flower girls, gold armlets. The bride and bridegroom were 'the recipients of many beautiful presents and several substantial cheques. The happy couple left later in the day on their honeymoon, the bride wearing a beige eharmaleine coat frock with hat to match. It is interesting to note that there were four generations present at the Avedding including the bride’s grandfather, Councillor C. Spring, who has attained the great age of 92 years.
