FOXTON’S FUTURE.
PROSPECTS OF HEMP INDUS TRY TO BE INVESTIGATED.
The future prosperity or otherAvise of Foxton’s flax industry was a question deliberated on at Thursday evening’s Chamber of Commerce meeting. Members ivere of opinion that some investigation into the matter should be made in the interests of our national exports and the welfare of' the town and district as a Avhole.
It Avas decided to convene a special meeting of the Chamber, to be held in the Toavh Hall supper-room on Thursday evening, 9th February, to discuss the matter and to ask all those interested together with Messrs J. Linklater and J. A. Nash, M.P.’s to be present.
