Eltham, January 17.
J. D. McKay, irom monger, and A. Novak, restaurant keeper, were I charged at Court to-da y before Mr. Tate, S.M., with, on I )ecember 27, carrying on the business of bookmaking and, on Decenriber 31, keeping premises which were used as common gaming houses. Accused pleaded guilty aud were fined £75 and £SO reap! Actively* A second charge was .witl) tdiawn.
