UNDER CANVAS.
AT MARTON .CAMP. ‘ Encamped on the Marton racecourse at present are Territorials from a vyide district, extending as far north as Ohakune and as far south as Otaki. iConsiderable assistance has been given by the Marton Jockey Club and several bulildings have been placed at the disposal of the camp authorities. On Sunday next, the ceremony of presenting the colours to the Wel-lington-West Coast Regiment will take place at the camp and it is expected that considerable interest will be shown id the event. Major-General R. Young, G.0.C., New 'Zealand military forces, will perform the presentation at 2 p.in., and the Rev. E. T. (Cox, M.A., chaplin to the forces, will perform the conseci’ation ceremony. The ceremony has been arranged for Sunday in order to give the public an opportunity to attend. The regimental colours' have been subscribed by members of the regiment and it is expected that there will be a large attendance of war veterans and their relatives at the function.
