“FOREIGN DEVILS.”

The streets of Pekin swarming with a fanatical rabble howling for the heads of the “Foreign Devils,” a tiny band of Europeans—soldiers, civilians and their womenfolk —hemmed in behind flismy defences, and a love that blossomed amidst perils and hardships —such is the theme of “Foreign Devils,” Tim McCoy’s latest Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer picture, which comes to the Town Hall on Friday. In the past, McCoy has given picture lovers many stirring outdoor pictures which possessed an authentic and intriguing historical background. “Foreign Devils,” however, surpasses all the previous efforts of this star, as it deals with modern events, and has been produced on a particularly lavish scale. Also “A Dog’s Pal” (comedy), News and Scenic. Usual prices.

Picturesque backgrounds, hard fighting and beautiful women serve to highlight “Whispering Sage,” a colourful Western in which Fox Films presents Buck Jones coming to the Town Hall on Saturday. Natalie Joyce has the featured feminine role. Usual prices.
