TOWN HAIiL HOLIDAY ATTRAC-
TIONS CONTINUE.
To-night is being celebrated at the Town Hall by the biggest and best picture entertainment of the year, when for the one admission, patrons will be treated to two complete programmes running from 8 p.m. till midnight. The two feature attractions are Torn Mix in Zane Grey’s “The Last Trail,” and Norma Shearer in “After Midnight.” Like other Tom Mix pictures, “The Last Trail” has more than its share of scenic beauty. Exterior scenes 1 were made in v the famous San Bernardino Valley of California. In the earlv part of the film Tom is seen as an Army scout of the Dakotas during the last uprising of the Sioux Indians. Later, vhe is seen as the hard-riding, quick-on-the-trigger foe of a desperate crew of stage coach looters.
“After Midnight,” tells of two sisters, one a cigarette seller in a night cabaret, the other a chorus girl. One is thrifty and steady. The other is extravagant and flighty. But in their hour of greatest need—when Ihc steady, dependable girl does not care whether she lives or dies—it is the jazz-mad Maizie, who protects her regardless of her own safety. Also Lupino Lane comedy, “The" Drawback,” News, Cartoon, Variety and Scenic*. Prices foi the 4 hours performance 1/- and 2/-, children 3d and 6d. ‘Hands Across the Border,” one of the most spectacular of all Fred Thomson’s western romances, will be screened on Monday at usual prices. On Tuesday the big feature will be “The Third Degree,” a film version of the noted stage success by Charles Klein. This picture is regarded as' the greatest representation of American police methods yet presented. It is a gripping melodrama in which Dolores Costello plays the leading role. Usual piices'. At Wednesday’s cabaret Bebe Daniels will be seen in a fast moving and amusing comedy drama entitled “Senorita.” Also comedy, News and Magazine. Usual prices.
