Wellington, Last Night.At the athletic sports to-night at Lower Hutt, M. Leadbetter (New Zealand champion) beat C. J. Lane' (Victoria) in a 100 yards race, both in a heat) and the final.
Sceats (New Zealand champion) beat Watson (Queensland) in the high jump, doing sft. 8§ ins. R. W. Lander (New Zealand champion) beat Ramson and also G. P. Wischer (Victoria) in the 120 yards hurdles in 15 secs., Wischer going well until he struck the last hurdle.
