MR. AND MRS. AMERY AT ROTORUA.

Rotorua, Last Night,

The Rt. Hon. Mr. L. S. Amery, Secretary of State for the Dominions, and party since their arrival on Sunday have spent a busy time visiting Whakarewarewa, forest reserves, nurseries and fairy springs. They lunched at the Rotary Club where Mrs. Amery gave an impressive address on Imperial aims of immigration, the beauty of the scenery of New Zealand and also of England. The Dominion had the greatest variety of any country visited.

On the eve of his departure he wished New Zealand health, wealth and happiness. The party attended a Maori entertainment at King’s Theatre in the afternoon and were greatly delighted at what they termed the finest entertainment they had ever seen.

Mr. Amery wa spresented with a taiaha and walking stick, and Mrs.’ Amery with a woven headband. The party left this afternoon by train for Auckland.
