A reminder is given of the Labour Social Club’s weekly euchre tournament to be held in the Town Hall supper-room tomorrow evening. Notice appears elsewhere in this issue that the dance to have been held in the Motuiti pall on Friday has been cancelled. A shop day in aid of the Maori Mission will be held on Saturday. In the evening at the Town Hall the drawing of the Korowai art union will take place. On Saturday next Father ’Xmas will visit Hofmann’s Toy Shop arriving by motor car at 2.30 p.m. from Toyland. He will be in attendance daily from 2.30 to 4.30 p.m., until ’Xmas Eve. Parents shouldmake a point of taking their children along to meet him. The public’s attention is drawn to the sale of an attractive six acres situated at Levin, which is to be offered by Abraham and Williams, limited, in the Levin saleyards on Tuesday, 20th December, at 12 noon, and possession of which can be obtained on 30th December. Upon this land is situated a sixroomed dwelling with conveniences, and it is situated in a district which enjoys excellent- climate.
