ENTERTAINMENTS.

TO-NIGHT’S CONCERT

The annual concert by the pupils of St. Mary’s Convent' will take place in the Town Hall this evening and the versatile programme to be submitted should attract a large audience. The items include instrumental selections, vocal, elocutionary and playettes. This year’s concert touches the standard of merit set in the past and affords parents and the public an opportunity ’ to mark the progress made by the pupils in the various sections during the year.

JOY NIGHT—NEXT TUESDAY. The Town Hall should be filled with a happy crowd on Tuesday evening next, when the Returned Soldiers’ Committee will provide an entertainment in which every one can participate. The proceeds are in aid of the Mayor’s fund to provide Christmas gifts for the children of the town and district. . “THE MAN UPSTAIRS.”

This monster evening’s entertainment is to be offered at usual prices. The great spy drama from Blasco Ibanez’ book “Mare Nostrum,” will be screened on Monday next.
