THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires at noon to-day as follows: The indications are for northerly winds moderate to strong, freshening and backing by west to south after about 3'6 hours. There is a prospect of fair weather at first, but it appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled, with rain probable later. 'Barometer falling. Seas moderate, tides poor.
