ROAD CYCLE RACING.

POINTS PRIZE WON BY C. AN DERiSON.

Last evening a ten mile race brought a close to a series of road races for points prizes. Seventeen competitors faced the starter and the public was present in good force to witness the event. The race provided probably the most exciting finish that has been witnessed locally this season. The finish was an indicating of good handicapping. The results are as follpws:— C. Newson (40sees.) 1 L. King (40secs.) 2 J. Francis (SOsecs.) 3 C. Anderson (60secs.) 4 Won by a quarter of a wheel, the same distance between second and third. ■For the points prize, C. Anderson was first with five points, and the following tied for second place with four points: E. Robinson, E. Coley, J. Francis, and |C. Newson. The tryout for second place will probably take place on Wednesday next.
