Holiday excursion tickets will be obtainable from Wednesday, 14th December, to Thursday, sth January, available for return . until Saturday, 11th February, 1928, as under: — From amy officered station on the North and South Island Main Line and Branches and Pieton Section to any station on those sections. Tickets may be purchased and reservations made 14 days in advance of date of travel. The journey must be commenced on or before January sth and qiay be broken after travelling 25 miles from original starting station. The restriction to 25 miles will not apply to holders of inter-section tickets for South Island stations, who desire to break the journey at Christchurch. EXTRA EXPRESS TRAINS, On 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th December, and 2nd, 3rd and 4th January. Leave Wellington 3.30 p.m., Palmerston North 6.45 p.m., arrive Auckland 7.52 a.rn. next day. On 23rd and 24th December, leave Wellington 18.30 p.m., Palmerston North 11.45 p.m., arrive Auckland 1.21 p.m. next day. On 22nd and 23rd December, 2nd, 3rd, and 4tli January, leave Auckland 8.40 p.m., Palmerston North 10.42 a.m. next day, arrive Wellington 2.20 p.m. On 24th December, leave Auckland 2.0 p.m., Palmerston North 3.35 a.m. (next day), arrive Wellington 6.3_0 a.m. For full particulars see Poster. Tickets for officered stations on South Island Main line and branches may be obtained, and seats may be booked at the Central Booking Office, and at Lambton and Thorndon Stations. Steamer tickets may also be obtained at these offices. The booking offices will be open as under (Sunday excepted). Central Booking Office, from 14th to 24th December, inclusive, from 8.30 a.m. to 6.0 p.m., continuously, and from 26th to 31st December, from 9.0 a.m. to 5.0 p.m. continuously. Lambton and Thorndon stations 9.0 a.m. to 6.0 p.m. continuously.
