MOTUITI SOCIAL AND DANCE.
There was a large attendance at the social and dance held in the Motuiti meeting-house on Thursday evening and a most enjoyable time was spent by all present. Miss T. Roiri received a great ovation for her voeal efforts and the poi dances delighted the audience. The star item of the evening, however, was a hula dance by Ruben Takariia. Music for the dance was provided by Messrs E. Graham and J. Newton, and extras were played by Misses Iv. Roore, Akuira and Takarun. Mr. Karehana carried out the duties of M.C., in a very, able manner. The supper left nothing to be desired. Dancing was kept up until a late hour and the evening was declared a very enjoyable function, so much so that at the request of a large number of those present another social and dance will be held in the meetinghouse at an early date.
