THE SALVATION ARMY.

Following a very profitable series of services at the 'Salvation Army on Sunday last, Hayes (the Divisional Young Peoples’ Secretary for the Wellington Division), presided at the iuaugural programme of the newly formed troop of Life Saving Guards at the Salvation Army Hall on Alonday night. The troop looked splendid in their new uniforms of grey and red, and have entered into the spirit of the organisation with a very keen enthusiasm. ,The troop gave a very creditable programme in the presence of a good audience despite the inclement weather. During -the evening, Adjutant Hayes explained the object of the L.S. Guard movement, and on behalf of the officers and leaders, thanked all who had helped in any way towards the success achieved that evening.
