ROAD CYCLE RACING.

Yesterday afternoon a three-mile road cycle race was held, by the Foxton Amateur Cycling Club, which attracted'a good deal of local interest. A good field faced the starter, and the' race resulted as follows: — E. Coley (35see.) 1. G. Coley (30see.) 2. J. Satherley (_3ssec.) 3. The scratch men did not exert themselves and left the race to the limit men. E. Coley finished well, snatching victory from G. Coley by half a wheel. A length separated second and third.
