POPULATION OF DOMINION.
The Government Statistician, in a return published; in the “Gazette” Issued last week, estimates the population of New Zealand proper on 30th September, 1927, to be 1,440,415; Cook Islands and Niue 14,178; Samoa 42,339; total 1,497,9G5. The estimated Maori population is 04,458.
