BIBLE IN SCHOOLS AND GAMING.
The last, it appears, has not been heard of the Bible-in-schools controversy in the House of Representatives (says -the Dominion). A Bill amending the Education Act is now .before Parliament, and when it reaches the committee stage an amendment will be moved to prevent controlling authorities of schools from refusing permission for the introductioiTof the Nelson system of religious instruction. It is possible that an attempt wil be made to have the . committee stage of Sir George Hunter’s Gamin- Amendment Bill reached. Whether the movement will succeed is another matter.
