“WING'S OF THE STORM.” Fox Films has scored another outstanding hit with “Wings of the. Storm,” at the Town Hall to-night, with Thunder, the great dog star, in the featured role. It has aroused renewed interest in “man’s best friend,” while vivid performances of Virginia Brown Faire, Reed Howes and William Russell are very pleasing. The scenic beauty of tlie production, which was directed by ,J. G. Blystone, is in itself a genuine -delight and the photography is excellent. The story is based on the mental and physical evolution of a dog. But it is the remarkable performance of Thunder, the magnificent police dog, that arouses the greatest interest. Hisjierformance is fascinating in the extreme and the acme of dog intelligence. There are several other good dog actors in the east, among them White Fawn,, Thunder’s mate but all are overshadowed by the work of Thunder. Also Vail Bibber Comedy, News and Variety. ‘Usual prices. The special attraction “The Wini.in" of Barbara • Worth,” adapted from Harold Bell Wright’s best seller will head next Monday’s programme. The dramatic romance which features Ronald Column an( the lovely Vilma Banky, reunited on the screen after a year’s separation in other films, is a glowing talc of those pioneers who battled with the menace of water, first in its total absence and then in its overflowing presence. It is at once the story of vast lands reclaimed and the reclamation of a man’s soul. “The Winning of Barbara Worth,” presents the most unique eternal triangle of any of the more important films, with Willard Holmes, eastern engineer, coming to love Barbara just as Abe Lee, desert-bred westerner, does; and poor Barbara does not know her own mind, loving both. Gary Cooper, one of the year’s “finds” plays Abe Lee to Ronald Column's Holmes. And Miss Banky is Barbara Worth, daughter of the Jefferson Worth who knew the west should be reclaimed.
