FIRE BRIGADE SHOP DAY.
The Fire Brigade shop day on Saturday proved quite successful, -despite the fact that the committee were unable to run the usual raffles now barred by law. The committee desire to thank the following for donatiins: — Air. Christie 5/-, Airs. Cowley 2/6, Air. Corn 2/6, G. F. Smith 5/-, AL E. Perreau 5/-, J. Thomson 2/6, F. Robinson £l. The sheep was won by Air. C. Rand, who guessed the correct weight, 34j lbs. The nail driving competition resulted as follows: — Ladies: Airs. Roore, 6 hits; gents: V. Hoffman, 3 hits.
