TENNIS NOTES.

At a meeting of the Men’s Committee of the Tennis Club it was decided to run a Yankee Tournament at the Courts on Saturday, the entrance fee to be 1/- for adult members, and 6d for juniors, prizes being two pairs of tennis balls. It is hoped that all the new members and learners will take advantage of the tournament to meet the other members of the club. The tournament is specially designed to give beginners a big chance to win the prizes, so that they need not be dubious about entering. Mr. Nicholas has kindly promised to donate a trophy for the best junior player, and the thanks of the committee are due to him. The match committee are meeting ou Monday night to put the ladder in order for the season.
