FOXTON AMATEUR CYCLING CLUB.

COMMITTEE MEETING. A committee meeting of the Foxton Amateur Cycling Club was held' last evening, presided over by Mr. H. Hutchins (chairman). The secretary submitted plans and specifications drawn up by Mr. H. R. Farquhar, civil engineer of Palmerston North, for a cycle track on Easton Park. The plans provide for a quarter of a niile grass track which allows ample room in the centre for a football field and cricket pitch. The cost was approximately £9O. It was decided to place the plans and specifications before the Borough Council and ask their approval of same. It was decided to hold a series\ of three road races for a points prize, to commence on Wednesday, November 9th. They will be three, five and ten miles respectively.
