FOXTON CRICKET CLUB.
< ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Foxton Cricket Club was held in Walls’ Rooms last week, presided over by Mr. A. E. Tongs, (President). Also present were Messrs R. Des Jar dines, Garbett, Rankin, C. Parfitt, P. Jack, L. Mohekey, T. Procter, and T. Morgan. Mr. B. Hinds wrote tendering his resignation as secretary.—Received with regret.* ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of offices resulted as follows: — Patron: J. Linkla'ter Esq., M.P., President: Mr. A. E- Tongs; vicepresidents: Messrs M. E. Perreau, W. Trueman, J. K. Hornblow, E. Parkin, John Ross, F. Woods, J. Chrystall, E. Huntlley, C. Pritchard, E. Goodman, R. MeMullian, W. Kirkland, W. E. Barber, G. F. Smith, S. H. Poole, D. Christie, E. M. Wyllie, and S. Steer; secretary: Mr. R. Des Jardines. It was decided that a “working bee” be held on Easton Park on Tuesday to prepare the ground for the concrete pitch.
