ATTEMPTED ROBBERY.
Christchurch, Last Night. An audacious attempt was made by thieves last night to rob the Sydenham Post ,Offline, strenuous efforts being made to force the strong room. The premises were securely locked when the staff went off duty at 5 p.m. yesterday. When the staff arrived this morning it was found that there had -been N visitors overnight and a search had been made of the premises, papers being strewn about. Tools had been used on the door of the strojig room but the stout door held. ,
