BOY’S SAD END.
WORRIED OVER SCHOOL LESSONS. Auckland, Oct. 24. The inquest on Allan Terence Watkins, the boy who was found hanging in a shed at his home yesterday, was held to-day. Celina Daphne Thomassen, a widow, with whom the boy lived, said that he was her brother. About 4.30 yesterday afternoon she found him hanging from a rafter in the coal shed by a strap which had been taken from a poi’tmanteau. His hand was tied behind his back. She was satisfied that he had hanged himself. He was a quiet boy, and had been in good health lately, although he had worried a little about his school work, especially arithmetic. He had a habit of talking and walking in his sleep. Detective O’Sullivan said he had made inquiries and that he> too thought that the boy had hanged himself. There were no suspicious circumstances, and no signs of any foul play. Deceased’s brother said deceased asked witness to tie his hands together, but he refused. Deceased .told witness lie was going to kill himself. The inquest was adjourned.
