REVIEWS.
“Aussie.” —The ’latest issue of* “Aussie” is a “Sinful Number.” It is one of the best issues of the cheerful monthly ever published. As the editor of “Aussie” aptly puts it:, “So l many people covet sin these days that weight of public opinion forces it to be recognised as an essential part of life; but the great question is, how far should a section of the public be allowed to go in hoarding up tit-bits of sin?” One of the wittiest things in the issue is a “scoop,” in that Aussie” is able to reproduce a copy of the “Asbestos Times,” the only newspaper published in Hell. . No admirer of “Aussie” should miss the sinful number. “Humour.” —Judging by its continued growth of sales, “Humour” be the most popular little threepenny magazine on the market. Every issue is as good as the last, and perhaps herein is the secret of the paper’s success. It is always interesting and amusing. Crossword puzzle competitions are featured every issue and cash prizes offered. “Helen’s Weekly.”—We have reeeivel a copy of the new ladies fashion journal, “Helen’s Weekly.” Judging by its attractive contents the new paper is here to stay. It is something different from the usual ladies fashion journal and has many new and interesting features. A free reliable pattern is presented with each issue. Free specimen copies of the new paper may be had from N.Z. Office New Century Press, Box 965, Wellington.
